Chris was a wonderfully punctual, knowledgeable and all round top bloke!
He picked me up from my accomodation and took me on a private tour to Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Palace, including some very interesting and beautiful stops on the way. His tour makes everything an entertaining learning experience and is super reasonably priced. I would 100% recommend Chris to anyone looking to visit the Bavarian castles.

Chris Edwards gave us (a party of 3) a tour of Neuschwanstein, Linderhof, and many more places. We made arrangments from Hotel Reindls in Garmisch Partenkirchner the night before. Please be aware that you should make ticket purchases in advance as they are not part of the tour package, but we had not. Chris being very polite, informed us that that could be a problem as the lines at Neuschwanstein and get very long. It was our lucky day, no line and Chris was impressed too. Enough about that. Chris gave us a 2-day tour in about 6 hours. If you like to ride the bus with lots of people, stand in line, walk farther and feel like a heard then Chris is not for you. He knows the back road and how to get you as close to the attraction as possible. When confronted with a herd of cows crossing a town square, he knew the allies and side streets to get around. His car is all leather with soft carpet to rest your tired feet. He keeps spare umbrellas in the trunk just in case. Twice he was driving up when we were walking down. His timing is wonderful.We had no idea he was going to take us to so many places. I believe we had 7 or 8 stops and spent most of the time on foot. His tours are the best use of time I’ve had. As a tour guide he’ll give you the insights and more information about little known places than a travel seminar. I was impressed with his non-judgmental approach to give us different perspectives about some historical events & people that I had never thought of. Chris is from Wales and has the accent, he also speaks very good German. When Chris says “life is too short to take the bus”, he’s right. Spend a little more and you will not be disappointed. Prost!
